Hong, one of my friends, she has a 3 years old kid, so she was trying to make money from home. As she has little time to be online, she had to choose an offline income opportunity, she chose Avon income opportunity, she worked very hard. As a result, she had a storeroom that was so filled with Avon products that she ended up having a yard sale at a price even lower than her wholesale price because she couldn’t afford to sell Avon any more.

Honestly to say, Avon is a great company with great products. It is a company that has been around a long time and is a network marketing company. An Avon sales representative will make more money if she is able to recruit someone to her business. Then she will make a portion off of everything that down line sell. The more sales she has including the volume in her down line; she will make more and the down line will be doing all the work.

Hong told me, after she became an Avon sales representative, she did great the first month, got lots of support from her supervisor, she was excited and calling all her family and friends to let them know she was selling Avon and to please order something to help her get started.

However, It was downhill from there, less sales, but much more work to do. You have to go to weekly meetings where they will get you all excited to go out and sell again, and give prizes to the representative with the highest sales total. There you are encouraged to buy the new line of something that is going to be the main feature in the next catalog. So you are investing more money over time than you are actually making.

I wondered how the other reps seemed to do it. But as I got to know them, I realized that they were in the same position that I was in. Can you tell me why?

I can’t explain what the reasons are, but I can tell you only 10% will be successful in these income programs, whether they are online or offline, but you will take a risk if the program ask you to wholesale products, as far as I know, many offline income programs do ask representatives to wholesale products time and time again, that means you must invest money in it, so I do not think it’s worthwhile joining these offline income programs, by contrast, most online affiliate programs are free to join, no need to invest any money, thus no risk at all, and there are more choices in the internet marketing, you can find any affiliate program in any niche you are interested in, so why not have a try?
