• My experience on Ebay

Ebay plays a very important role in internet marketing, If you haven’t joined ebay yet, you are out. Ebay is so strong that it connects buyers and sellers from all over the world. The products that you can’t find in your local supermarket you might be able to find them on Ebay.

In year 2001, I heard from my sister that one of her friend bought a pair of boots from an online shop named Ebay, she asked me to buy one pair for her, so I search “ebay” in google, then I found ebay, I joined ebay, then I bought the boots for my sister. That seller was in India, my sister got her boots about 6 days after my purchase. We both thought shopping online is very convenient and interesting. Thus I began to sell on ebay. I can remember my first sale: Oct of 2001, I sold an ebook. I sold ebbok because I needn’t deliver it after my sale. It has been 7 years now, I have been a ebay seller for so many years!

However, I have to say selling on ebay is not easy. It seems tough, it’s hard to compete with those Ebay Powersellers who place their items in all ebay categories imaginable. Though I do enjoy my Ebay experience. It is hard to compete in this huge ebay market. You may can’t believe that I have sold only 17 items since my Ebay membership began 7 years ago. It may be intimidating. I have made an attempt at ebook and script sales, but you have to sell so many to make any money!

Honestly to say, I didn’t make much money on ebay by selling my own products, but I do make an impressive income from other ebay sellers’ auction!
I visited Ebay’s affiliate page and was directed to Commission Junction (CJ). CJ is Ebay’s affiliate program manager and is very reputable. It was a quick and easy signup and setup. I was then ready to start.

• Joining ebay affiliate isn’t the whole story, what did I do next?

I know little about web design and html, so after I joined ebay, I had no idea aboutbhow to place those multiple Ebay items on my site as they were html code. But I was really eager to test if I can make money with ebay affiliate, so I researched the Ebay Affiliate Program, then I stumbled across a script called Build a Niche Store, or BANS for short.

2. Registered a domain ($5/year)
3. Bought the BANS ($97)
4. Upload the BANS script to my hosting
5. Run installation of the BANS (You can find step-by-step instruction on how to install it)
6. Run BANS administration, choose a country, choose a niche, customize it, such as the site logo and title.

My developed site thus “matched” my target market providing insightful reviews about the different clubs available and the ability to view and compare prices for these clubs currently listed for sale on eBay.com.

The first and second websites that I built were indexed by Google within 24 hours! The advantage of this script is that it optimizes your web pages so that your sites will get a good position in search engines result. My first site is on the first page of Google with a very competitive keyword!
BANS will help you create a website that is geared towards any category you choose from Ebay’s content. Ebay items in your category will be automatically fed into your site: Automatic Ebay content! If a person bids and wins an auction through your website, you are paid a commission by ebay. If someone signs up for Ebay through your website, you also earn a commission.
