Another type of nigerian scam or Russian scam Email

This morning, I received an emnail in my Gmail inbox, the title is “From Mariya Stalin”, in that Email a person called “itself” Mariya Stalin said that she is ussian citizen, a female of 23 years old and a 3rd year student of UNIVERSITY OF GHANA, her father was in the Precious Stone industry and owned mines in Tanzania but died from HIV, then her mother Committed, left her $US 5.3Million and 75kilos of gold and diamond which my father deposited with Safety company in Ghana, now she ask for help to invest this money in my business, and she will pay me 40% of the total funds for your efforts.

My name is Mariya Stalin a Russian citizen, a female of 23 years old and a 3rd year student of UNIVERSITY OF GHANA Residential address: Block 10b, flat 5, Unipetrol Estate, Accra Ghana. My father was in the Precious Stone industry and owned mines in Tanzania, He also used to deal (buy and sell) in diamonds from Angola, Ghana and Sierra Leone.It is sad to say that he died of the deadly Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome – AIDS on the 15th July, 2007.Two days after my father was pronounced HIV positive, my mother Committed suicide.

Now, I can no longer walk freely on the streets, at school or even in
the church without being pointed at or gossiped about. This development has affected me academically, physically and Psychologically and I have decided to live Ghana to a place where I Would have peace to live and further my education and have contacted you to assist me to transfer out the sum of $US 5.3Million and 75kilos of gold and diamond which my father deposited with Safety company in Ghana, for my upkeep when it became Obvious he was going to die.

I intend to invest this money in your business or any other business you deem healthy. However I will appreciate if you keep my letter confidential or delete if you do not accept my proposal, you will be rewarded with 40% of the total funds for your efforts.

Such email is a famous type of scam called nigerian scam or Russian scam, also called Advance-fee fraud, is a confidence trick in which the target is persuaded to advance sums of money in the hope of realizing a significantly larger gain, if you accept to help her to invest these money, she will ask you to open an account in a bank she recommmend to you, such as Welsh Trust Bank, saying that bank is easy to transfer such big money and you can finish all operation online, such as open an account, receive her deposit, transfer that money to your bank account in your country, and she will send you the bank’s website, telephone as well as the ontact person’s email address, asking you to send email or call that person to apply for an account in that bank. If you send email or called that person, they will send you the application form soon, after you filling in that form and send it back to the bank, they will send you another email asking you to activate your account, you have to deposit some money to activate it, the minimum is $1000. At this time, many people will deposit money to activate the account, because they believe they will get more money, but in fact after your deposit, you will never know where are they going, but I am sure they are scaming another person.

Such scam will succeed just because the victims were actuated solely by greed, so we remind everyone be honest to yourself, of course everyone can make money online, but stop your dream of being rich in one night, one reaps no more than what one has sown。
